RAD Selected As Finalist for MEF’s Best Network Award
RAD announced today that its Distributed NFV (D-NFV) solution was selected as a finalist for the category of Best Network Technology of the Year: Technology Innovation in the Metro Ethernet Forum’s (MEF) Ethernet Excellence Awards. RAD is one of three companies shortlisted for the award.
The award entrants are evaluated based on the solution’s technological innovation, business impact, technical impact, market positioning, market validation, and end-user customer experience. To judge the awards applications, the MEF has comprised an esteemed panel from the industry’s leading analyst firms including IDC, Infonetics, Vertical Systems, Gartner, Frost & Sullivan, Ovum, and the Rayno Report.
The award winners will be announced at the Ethernet Excellence Awards Dinner taking place on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The awards competition is an integral part of the MEF’s Global Ethernet Networking 2014 conference and exhibition. RAD technology experts are participating on conference panels at the event, and RAD will be co-conducting a live proof-of-concept (PoC) demo featuring its D-NFV solution on the exhibition floor.
“We are very pleased to be selected as a finalist for this prestigious award. RAD is committed to driving the innovation of this transformational technology,” states Ulik Broida Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at RAD. “We believe our novel implementation of NFV holds unique and compelling benefits for both the service provider and the end-customer. This nomination, along with the feedback we’ve received from several Tier 1 operators, seems to confirm our belief.”
