Dr. Yaakov Stein is CTO at RAD’s headquarters in Tel Aviv. He is the author of the textbook “Digital Signal Processing, a Computer Science Perspective.” Yaakov’s previous positions include Advanced Technology Manager for Comverse Information Systems and Professor of AI and Computer Science at Polytechnic University (NY). He holds a BSc in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science, and an MSc and PhD in Theoretical Physics. Yaakov received the Israel Defense Award (Israel’s highest award for defense-related research). His areas of interest include SDN and NFV, communications security and encryption, and timing & synchronization.
In his spare time, Yaakov has been known to dabble in amateur radio and ancestry. He also maintains a small museum of the history of electronics and computation.
